Thanks to all that made the past weekends show a success!

We'd like to thank everybody that helped make the 5th Annual Illinois Valley Hunting & Fishing Collectibles Show a success this past weekend.  We ended up with 24 more tables than last year, and trippled the attendance thru the door.  Next years event is reserved again at Celebrations, and the date will be the second Sunday, which is August 10th, 2014.  We'll start the process over again in January like we did this year to get the word out with fliers, posters, and advertising.  If you did not have a table this year and are interested in getting one in 2014, make sure to contact me early- we only have room for about 20 more tables and I've already got a couple new vendors signed up.  This was our first year taking over the show and worked hard to make it a success- next year's goal is to increase attendance again and hope to continue the growth of the show.  A special thanks to all that came out to put up signs, set up, and take down tables for the event. 

Illinois Valley Hunting & Fishing Collectible Show this Sunday

Try to make it out this weekend for the big show to buy, sell, or trade!  There will be lots of duck decoys, game calls, and all kinds of other fishing and hunting items.  Many things to see, bigger than last year.  Doors open to the public at 8am Sunday August 11th.  Celebrations 150 Banquet Hall in Utica.  Rte 80 take the Utica Exit, or Rte 39 take the LaSalle exit and follow the signs- air conditioned and food available.  (click on image above to enlarge for more details)

Illinois Valley Hunting & Fishing Collectibles Show ~ only two months away!

Just a little reminder ~ the Illinois Valley Hunting & Fishing Collectibles Show is two short months away.  August 11th * Celebrations- Route 6, Utica Illinois * Show hours 8am-2pm * Vendors 6am for setup *   Anybody interested in getting a table, we still have some available at $40 for one, $35 for each additional.  Most of the vendors from last year are returning, and if you haven't contacted us yet and are interested in a table, you can email us (muddywaterdecoys@yahoo.com), call us (815-663-1568), or send payment to us (Dave Kneebone 124 E. 5th Street, Spring Valley, IL  61362).  We are taking big steps in promoting the show and the sooner we get your table fees the better.  It will be used for further advertising and promoting of the show as well as public awareness.  Any ideas, please don't hesitate to contact us.  So far, we've handed out approximately 1,000 fliers at local auctions and all the decoy shows we've attended since January.  This event has been promoted in Decoy Magazine and Hunting & Fishing Collectible Magazine.  We also have plans for local papers as well as free ticket give aways on several local radio stations.  Most of our nearby Antique Malls and shops have fliers in them designed by Donna Tonelli and are very eye catching (thanks Donna).  We had had several folks request fliers for their areas, and if you would like some, please let us know, and we'll mail them to you.  We look forward to seeing you at the Utica Decoy show~Thanks- Dave & Jeannette  Click on flier below to enlarge

Illinois Valley Sporting & Collectibles Show- Aug. 2012

Thanks to everybody who participated and attended the Annual Illinois Valley Sporting & Collectibles Show which was held at Celebrations in Utica on August 19, 2012.  We would like to take this opportunity to announce that we are going to take over this event and in moving forward, our goal is to increase the attendance and the size of the show.  We've set the date for next years show which will be at Celebrations again.  It will be the 2nd Sunday- August 11, 2013.  We'll be frequently updating our website with information, in addition to sending out notifications to all interested parties.  If you are interested in becoming a vendor, or would like to be on our mailing list for next years show, please contact us by email at muddywaterdecoys@yahoo.com  or phone us at (815) 663-1568.  Here are some pictures from this years show.
