Black Duck by William Appleton, Bristol, Pennsylvania. Circa 1920, carver was an early market hunter on the Delaware river. Decoy has a hollow body, tack eyes, 2nd coat of paint, circa 1910's, carved tail. Has some hunting wear and bee-bee marks, but overall, in good shape. "WM APPLE" painted on bottom. Decoy measures 15" long, 4-1/2" wide, and 5-1/2" tall.
