Black Duck by H. V. Shourds, Tuckerton, New Jersey. Circa 1890's, decoy has a hollow body, painted eyes, inletted lead weight and rigging strap on bottom. Repainted with slight seam separation, chip and wear on end of tail, detailed bill carving, nice looking old bird with minor hunting wear. Measures 17" long, 5-1/2" wide, and 7" tall.
